
A total of 585 students are set to graduate with different qualifications from All Saints University Lango, Canon Lawrence Campus tomorrow under the theme Nurturing Innovative Graduates for Social Transformation”.
Speaking ahead of the 12th graduation ceremony to be held at the university’s Canon Lawrence campus, the academic registra of All Saints University Lango, Pius Okello, said out of the 585 graduands, 302 are male while 283 are female.
He revealed that 127 students will graduate with Degrees, 206 with Undergraduate Diplomas, 37 with Postgraduate Diplomas, while 226 will receive Certificates.
Okello further noted that 12 students attained First Class Honors in their respective fields of study.

The graduands are drawn from the Faculties of Business and Management, Education, and Social Sciences.
Meanwhile, the Deputy Vice Chancellor of All Saints University Lango, Martin Ongom Owiny, described the 12th graduation ceremony as historic, noting that it will be the first graduation to be held at the university’s Canon Lawrence Campus.
He said the university is focusing on equipping students with practical and modern skills to ensure they are competitive in the job market after graduation.
“We are looking at the growing demand for technology and and innovation that’s why our focus is to equipt our student to the standard of competition” he said.

Owiny added that the university continues to expand its academic programmes to accommodate more students pursuing different disciplines.
Speaking ahead of the ceremony, the Chairperson of the Organising Committee, Herbert Bali, warmly welcomed graduands, parents, guardians, university staff, religious leaders, government officials, development partners, alumni, and members of the public to the important academic event.
He said the graduation ceremony marks another milestone in the university’s journey of academic excellence and growth.
Bali noted that this year’s graduation theme, “Nurturing Innovative Graduates for Social Transformation,” reflects the university’s commitment to producing graduates equipped with practical skills, ethical values, leadership abilities, and innovative thinking needed to address social and economic challenges in society.
He emphasized that the institution continues to focus on preparing students to become job creators and agents of positive change within their communities.
He further described the graduation ceremony as a celebration of resilience, determination, sacrifice, and hard work demonstrated by the graduands throughout their academic journey.

Bali congratulated all the graduands upon reaching the milestone and appreciated the continued support from the University Council, management, academic staff, parents, guardians, sponsors, stakeholders, and members of the media for contributing towards the growth and success of the university.
The university also announced that Jane Ruth Aceng Ochero, the Woman Member of Parliament for Lira City, will serve as the Guest of Honour during the ceremony.
