Arsenal end 22-year Premier league title drought after Manchester City slip

Arsenal have officially ended their 22-year wait for a Premier League title after rivals Manchester City dropped crucial points in a 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth.

The result confirmed Arsenal as champions with one game still left to play this season.

Arsenal now sit top of the Premier League table with 82 points from 37 matches, four points ahead of Manchester City, who remain on 78 points and can no longer catch the Gunners mathematically.

The triumph marks Arsenal’s first league title since the famous 2003/2004 “Invincibles” season under legendary manager Arsène Wenger, when the club went unbeaten throughout the campaign.

Under manager Mikel Arteta, Arsenal have produced a remarkable season built on consistency, discipline and attacking football, finally dethroning Manchester City after years of dominance in English football.

The North London side maintained their composure during the tense closing weeks of the title race, while City’s draw at Bournemouth ultimately handed Arsenal the crown before the final day.

Supporters across London and around the world erupted into celebrations moments after the final whistle at Bournemouth, with many praising Arteta for rebuilding the club into champions once again.

Despite still having a final fixture against Crystal Palace, Arsenal’s title celebrations have already begun as the club prepares to officially lift the Premier League trophy and celebrate a historic end to a 22-year drought.
