Lango musician King Blood Moon out of danger after highway accident

A legendary local musician, Emmy Ongom, popularly known as King Blood Moon, is steadily recovering after being involved in a serious car accident on Thursday night along the Kampala–Gulu Highway.

Ongom was travelling from Kampala to Lira City when the accident occurred at Migera Township.

According to the singer, the vehicle he was travelling in rammed into a stationary Fuso lorry that had been parked almost in the middle of the road due to a mechanical problem.

Speaking to Uganda Standard, King Blood Moon said he was not driving at the time of the crash, adding that he sustained deep cuts on the nose and forehead and was rushed to St. Francis Medical Center, a diocesan health facility, where he is currently receiving treatment.

The musician has since assured his fans that he is out of danger, noting that his condition has significantly improved compared to the immediate aftermath of the accident on Thursday night.

King Blood Moon, who serves as the chairperson of local music singers in the Lango sub-region, is widely recognized for his role in mentoring and uplifting young talent in the music industry.
